Flo Low
Founder and CEO , BAMAH
Flo Low is the Founder and CEO of BAMAH, an independent non-profit (501c3) that works with artists from Israel to design experiences that inspire and connect people and communities across cultures. BAMAH’s signature initiative is the Cultural Bridge Initiative (formerly the Visiting Artists Program), which Flo previously led as Associate Director, Arts Programs at the Israel Institute. The program has brought over 150 artists from Israel to top North American universities over the last decade. Under Flo’s leadership, she has made arts access for underserved communities a core priority, and developed multi-year programmatic partnerships with historically black colleges and universities.
Flo previously served as Associate General Manager of the La Jolla Playhouse, a Tony Award-winning professional non-profit theatre. As an independent producer, she conceived and produced “Four Minutes From the Frontlines,” a series of animated documentary shorts amplifying the stories of first responders on the frontlines of the COVID-19 crisis, as well as a reading tour of COME MY BELOVED, a new play about the shared history and future of Black and Jewish communities in the United States. She was recently selected as a 2025 Fellow with Digital Storytellers Lab, a year-long fellowship for visionary creators developing bold, original, Jewish-themed projects for digital platforms.
A graduate of the MFA program in Theater Management at the Yale School of Drama, Flo served as the Associate Managing Director of the Yale School of Drama, where she was responsible for 15 productions as well as the international presenting series and special events at Yale Repertory Theatre. In Israel, Flo worked in the Director General’s office of the Education Department of the Jewish Agency; managed strategic projects in the Former Soviet Union Department of the Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), and continues to serve as a Captain (res.) in the Israel Defense Forces. She completed her mandatory service after graduating magna cum laude from Barnard College and the Jewish Theological Seminary.
Flo believes passionately in the power of arts and culture to move hearts, inspire minds, and build bridges.
