Dena Rashes

National Campaign Chair, Jewish Federations of North America

Dena Boronkay Rashes is the National Campaign Chair of the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) and its immediate-past Treasurer. She previously served as JFNA’s Secretary and Chair of its Lay Leadership Development Committee.

A graduate of Wellesley College, Dena serves on its Board of Trustees. She is also a board member of Hillel at Stanford and the American Joint Distribution Committee (JDC). During her first decade of board service at JDC, she served on several standing committees of the board and held multiple leadership roles, including chairing the Campaign for Camp Szarvas.
In 2026, Dena was awarded Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Boston’s (CJP) Circle of Excellence Leadership Award, honoring volunteer leaders who demonstrate exceptional leadership, vision, and dedication to the local and global Jewish community. Dena is the immediate-past Co-Chair of CJP’s Cynthia and Leo Shulman Acharai Leadership Program and the immediate-past Secretary of the CJP Board of Directors. During her decade of federation board service, she served as Chair of the Committee on Development, Co-Chair of the Annual Campaign, and Co-Chair of the Bridge to the Future Campaign.

Dena is a former President of the Board of The Rashi School, where she served in the board for 12 years. During her board tenure, she chaired the Development and Governance Committees and co-chaired the capital campaign to build the school’s permanent home.

Prior to leaving the workforce to care for her growing family, Dena worked as an investment banker. She lives in Boca Raton, Florida, and also spends time in Newton, Massachusetts, and New York, New York, with her husband, Michael. They are the proud parents of Emma (and her husband, Nadav), Lily, Daniel, and Hailey.
