Tao Tan

Affiliate Scholar, Center for the Future of the American University, American Enterprise Institute

Tao Tan is an affiliate scholar at the Center for the Future of the American University at the American Enterprise Institute. He also co-founded Stand Columbia, a coalition of Columbia University alumni dedicated to improving campus culture and governance. He is a senior managing director at a private investment firm. He was previously a partner at Perception Capital, an associate partner at McKinsey & Company, and has worked in venture capital and investment banking. He is a member of the Atlantic Council, the Council on Foreign Relations, and of the Economic Club of New York. He is a Trustee of the Museum of Chinese in America. He received his BA and his MBA, both with honors, from Columbia University.
