Heidi Gantwerk

President and CEO, Jewish Federation of San Diego

Heidi Gantwerk became president and CEO of Jewish Federation of San Diego in 2021, after advising Federation and other public and private sector clients through her firm, HG Consulting Group. She guided Federation out of COVID with a renewed strategy and a stronger operating model. After October 7, she led San Diego's communal response, convening partners and mobilizing support for Israel and Sha'ar HaNegev, Federation's partner region of more than 25 years. Under her leadership, the community's annual support for Federation has tripled, expanding support for Jewish life, security, and education in San Diego, Israel, and around the world.

Heidi is a past Board Chair of the San Diego Jewish Academy and has served on the boards of the San Diego Center for Jewish Culture, and Hillel of San Diego. At Congregation Beth Israel, where she is an active member, she sings each week with the Chai Band.
