Dr. Ben Jacobs

Research Associate Professor, The George Washington University

Dr. Benjamin M. Jacobs directs the graduate programs in Israel Education and the Mayberg Center for Jewish Education and Leadership, both part of The Collaboratory: A Center for Jewish Education at The George Washington University. He has spent most of his career preparing social studies teachers and Jewish educators for school and non-school settings, and consulting with various organizations on curriculum and research. His scholarship focuses on the history, theory, and practice of social education, history education, Jewish education, and teacher education on the American scene. Ben co-chairs the advisory board of the Collaborative for Applied Studies in Jewish Education (CASJE).
