Modi is one of the comedy circuit’s most sought-after performers. He has been featured on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Netflix, HBO, CBS, NBC, and ABC, and received rave reviews in The NY Times, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Time Out NY and NY Post.  Modi recently closed his worldwide “Pause For Laughter” tour with two sold-out shows at the iconic Radio City Music Hall.

Born in Tel Aviv, Modi emigrated to New York at the age of seven. After graduating from Boston University, he worked as an investment banker until he realized stand-up was his true calling. Modi’s gone on to become a fixture in New York's vibrant comedy scene, and a hit with diverse Jewish audiences and fans of all backgrounds and beliefs. In 2025, he was honorarily inducted into the Harvard Lampoon and in 2018, the NYC Mayor’s office declared June 26th 'Mordechi Modi Rosenfeld Day.’
