Sherri Ketai
Chair of National Women’s Philanthropy, Jewish Federations of North America
Sherri Ketai has held a wide and varied range of leadership positions within the Detroit Jewish community as well as nationally. Mosty notably, Sherri is currently the Chair of National Women’s Philanthropy for Jewish Federations of North America.
Her roles at the Jewish Federation of Detroit include serving as 2015 –2017 Annual Campaign Chair, longstanding member of the Federation Board of Governors, Vice Chair of the Executive Committee, Women’s Philanthropy Board of Directors, Lion of Judah Vice Chair and Leadership Development Chair.
Sherri also has been an active leader within the Israel & Overseas Department, chairing and leading numerous missions and programs including those supporting Detroit’s Partnership Region and the Israeli Camper Program.
She has held several leadership positions for other Jewish organizations within the metro Detroit community, including Hebrew Free Loan, the University of Michigan Hillel and the Maccabi Games. For her work, Sherri was awarded the Association of Fundraising Professionals 2019 AFP Distinguished Volunteer Award.
Nationally, Sherri is the Chair of Endowment and Lion Behind the Pin for National Women’s Philanthropy. She serves on the National Women’s Philanthropy Board and is a previous Class Chair and Mission Chair to Washington, DC.
Most importantly, Sherri and her husband Jimmy are parents to Josh and daughter-in law Bridget, Adam, Evan and daughter-in law Ashley.
