John Podhoretz is the editor of Commentary Magazine and the host of its daily podcast. He is the author of three books, including the bestselling BUSH COUNTRY. He was the lead political columnist for the New York Post for more than two decades, and co-founded the Weekly Standard, where he was the movie critic from its inception in 1995 to its closing in 2018. He has worked at Time Magazine, the Washington Times, and U.S. News and World Report. He wrote speeches for President Ronald Reagan in the White House and was a five-time Jeopardy champion.
