Jonah Kaplan is a multiple Emmy award-winning journalist who has built a strong reputation for his balanced reporting, thoughtful interviews, and deeply researched coverage of high-impact issues.

Based in Minneapolis, his work is often featured on all of CBS News' programs and platforms, including the CBS Evening News, CBS Mornings and CBS 24/7. His national exclusives this year include visiting with the family of Sarah Milgrim, the Israeli Embassy worker killed outside the Capital Jewish Museum, along with a wide-ranging interview with former Hamas hostage Keith Siegel. Jonah also earned national recognition for his recent reporting on the mass shooting at Annunciation Catholic School.

Outside the newsroom, Jonah is a member of Jewish Federations of North America's Young Leadership Cabinet and is a leading voice for Jewish employees at CBS and its parent company Paramount/Skydance. Jonah also often leads services and song sessions at local synagogues (he’s a son of two rabbis!). Jonah lives in the Minneapolis area with his wife, Grace, and their three daughters.
