Amy Bressman

Deeply committed to the Jewish people her entire life, Amy believes that taking an active role in shaping the Jewish future is both a responsibility and an opportunity. Amy has served in a number of positions at UJA during her longstanding involvement. Before serving as President of UJA, she focused on Jewish identity and next-generation engagement, and was Chair of the Jewish Life Department. She currently chairs UJA's Allocations Steering Committee as well as the committee tasked with responding to the post October 7 surge in Jewish engagement. She is also a member of UJA's Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
Amy has held a number of leadership positions at the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), including serving on its Executive Committee. She currently serves as Chair of JDC Israel. Amy has also served as Chairman of Park Avenue Synagogue, chaired the Board of Trustees of the Town School, and was Vice Chair of National Hillel. She is a graduate of the Wexner-Heritage Program.
A proud native of Wichita, Kansas, Amy previously had a career at IBM in marketing. She and her husband, Robert, have three children: Will (and Lindsay), Teddy (and Ali), Ellie (and Matthew), and five grandchildren. She currently lives in Manhattan.
