Chanan Weissman

Director, SAPIR Institute, Maimonides Fund

Chanan Weissman is the director of SAPIR Institute at the Maimonides Fund.

He previously served at the Department of State in a variety of positions for 13 years, including as Section Chief of the Internet Freedom & Business and Human Rights unit. He is the only person to have served twice as the White House Liaison to the Jewish Community - in the final year of the Obama Administration and the first year of the Biden Administration. He also served on the staff of the National Security Council as the Director for Democracy and Technology and Director for Partnerships and Global Engagement.
