Mr. James Somohano

Director, Office of Community Security, Greater Miami Jewish Federation

James Somohano is a former executive command level law enforcement official for multiple law enforcement agencies in the Miami region. His background includes policy making, tactical operations and criminal investigations.

Throughout his career he has been a four-time finalist to lead several law enforcement agencies in the Miami-Dade region and is the recipient of Florida International University's School of Public Affairs, Scholar Among Scholars award. He is currently the director of the Office of Community Security for thr Greater Miami Jewish Federation where he strengthens the safety of Miami's Jewish community.
