Rabbi Deborah Newbrun

Founder/Director, Divorce & Discovery New Visions for Jewish Healing

Deborah Newbrun's career as a Jewish leader (particularly in Jewish Overnight Camping and environmental education) spans about 40 years. Deborah is a nationally recognized Jewish educator honored with the 2018 prestigious Covenant Award. Most Recently, she is the founder/director of a new nonprofit, Divorce & Discovery New Visions for Jewish Healing, whose goal is to create a sea change in how the Jewish community responds to divorce. In her first non-Jewish gig in over 30 years, Deborah works as a facilitator for the Modern Elder Academy.

She is the mother of two adult sons who are the apple of her eye.
