Jonathan Shmidt Chapman is a nationally-recognized leader in Jewish family engagement. He is the founder of The K’ilu Company, reimagining Jewish early childhood through theater and play. He serves as a consultant and curricular partner with ElevatEd and Jewish Grandparents Network. Jonathan is the author of Let There Be Play: Bringing the Bible to Life with Young Children. Jonathan was recently named the Covenant Foundation’s inaugural Jewish Family Education Fellow. He has created theatrical works for families at Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, and Seattle Children’s Theatre. He lives in Chicagoland with his husband, Rabbi David Chapman, and their two children.
