Oded forer is a Member of the Knesset, chairman of the Aliyah, Absorption and Diaspora Committee and chairman of the Israel Beitenu faction.

He previously served as the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Minister for the Development of the Periphery, the Negev and the Galilee on behalf of the Yisrael Beitenu party.

In the past he was the director general of the Ministry of Immigration and Absorption and the chairman of The Status of Women and Gender Equality committee in the Knesset.

MK Forer served as a Captain at the reserve duty (Commanding Officer of a 6 "Dabur" Patrol boats flotilla), and a training officer at the navy academy.

He is an advocate by profession and holds a bachelor's degree (B.A) in government and an LL.B in Law from IDC and an M.A. in political communication from Tel-Aviv University.


Forer is married and father of three daughters.
