Israel Ganot is a co-founder of AGP Ventures (AGP), a venture capital fund
that invests in Israeli founders and accelerates their commercialization in
the U.S. Israel is a seasoned executive and entrepreneur with deep
experience in the innovation ecosystems of Silicon Valley, Israel, Boston,
and London.


Prior to co-founding AGP, Israel launched and led MassChallenge Israel,
the largest startup accelerator in Israel. Since its launch in 2016,
MassChallenge Israel graduated more than 330 early-stage startups
which have raised over $1.0 billion to date.


Prior to MassChallenge, Israel was co-founder, President and CEO of
Gazelle, the company that pioneered and has become the leading
consumer brand in the mobile device reCommerce space. During his
tenure at Gazelle, Israel led the company from an idea to $120 million in
revenue. It was the combination of his passion for electronics recycling,
obsession with delivering a superior customer experience, and personal
touch with employees that made the difference.


In recognition of his success at Gazelle, the Boston Business Journal
selected him as Emerging Leader for its Best Green Practices awards in
2012 and Ernst & Young named him Entrepreneur of the Year finalist in
both 2009 and 2012. Israel has been quoted as a reCommerce expert in
Forbes, CNN and The Wall Street Journal and appeared numerous times
on CNBC, Fox News, and Bloomberg TV.


Prior to Gazelle, Israel spent six years at eBay, Inc. where he led the
company's acquisition of PayPal and expansion to Europe, Latin America
and Asia. Israel also served as Director of Finance & Operations at eBay
UK, helping to scale that business to $300 million. Israel also spent
several years at Goldman Sachs, where he supported numerous M&A and
IPO transactions in the big-box retail sector.


Israel holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. from the
Stern School of Business at New York University.
