Danielle Berrin is an award-winning senior reporter and columnist with Los Angeles’ Jewish Journal, where she covers the intersection of religion, culture, and politics.
She was recently named Journalist of the Year by the Los Angeles Press Club and has received three additional Southern California Journalism Awards. The Los Angeles Times dubbed her 'a natural born provocateur' for her Hollywood Jew blog, a cutting-edge, values-based take on the entertainment industry that she created and authored. In 2016, she was named top columnist by the National Entertainment Journalism Awards.
A graduate of the University of Florida, Danielle has written for The Atlantic, The Guardian, British Esquire, and Israel’s most popular daily newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth. She is a frequent lecturer and television commentator and has appeared on CNN, MSNBC and numerous Israeli media outlets. In 2013, Danielle served as an American Jewish World Service Global Justice Fellow and traveled to Oaxaca, Mexico to support organizations fighting for human rights. She was recognized as one of the most influential American Jews by the Forward.
