Erica Winsor

Public Affairs Director, Jewish Federation of Greater Houston

Erica was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2010 with degrees in Psychology and Jewish Studies and earned her law degree from South Texas College of Law–Houston in 2013. From 2013 to 2023, Erica served as an Assistant District Attorney in Harris County. During her decade in prosecution, she spent seven years managing a specialized caseload involving offenders with severe mental health diagnoses and coauthored the textbook Mental Health Law for Prosecutors.
 
In 2015, Erica chaired the Young Adult Division of the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston. She is a recipient of the Anti-Defamation League’s Daniel R. Ginsberg Leadership Award and serves on the ADL Southwest Regional Board. Erica now brings her passion for community and advocacy to her role as Public Affairs Director at the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston. She and her husband are the proud parents of two children—four-year-old Lane and two-year-old Maya—who are the joy of her life.
