CEO & Co-Founder, Classy
Scot Chisholm is the CEO and co-founder of Classy, a social enterprise that creates world-class online fundraising tools for nonprofits, modernizing the giving experience to accelerate global social impact.
When one of the largest cancer organization refused to accept the money he raised during a pub crawl held to honor his mom, a two-time breast cancer survivor, Scot was inspired to start Classy to make it easier for anyone to support a cause that’s meaningful to them — and just as easy for organizations to make purposeful and lasting connections with their supporters. Since 2011, fundraising on the Classy platform has doubled each year — resulting in thousands of nonprofits collectively raising over half a billion dollars.
Classy partners with organizations of all sizes, from the fastest-growing nonprofits such as Team Rubicon and Malala Fund, to some of the world’s largest social organizations, such as Acumen Fund, Oxfam, and Shriners Hospitals for Children. Based in San Diego, CA, Classy has raised $53 million to-date in growth capital and is backed by prominent technology investors including JMI Equity, Mithril, Salesforce Ventures, and Bullpen Capital. Most recently, Scot was recognized by Glassdoor as a Highest Rated CEO in 2017.
